Time Travel

I try to convey the contrast between ancient and modern to invite reflection on the passing of time and how we experience it. I chose to convey this in a direct and visual way because our lives are often too frenetic, and we lose awareness of the present. The inspiration came from participating in historical reenactments, where I felt a strong desire to return to past eras, but also the impossibility of actually doing so: technology is always with us, even in contexts far removed from everyday life. I was struck by seeing people in period clothing with phones in hand, and from there the need to represent this tension arose. I deliberately insert technological elements into settings from another era to create a contrast that highlights how past and future are now so close. This suspended space questions our relationship with memory, with change, and with time itself. Through this visual language, I invite the viewer to question how much the past is still present and how much the future already shapes our way of living today, pushing them to recognize how much the moment we truly are eluding us.
