Felines

I try to communicate my love for felines through their moments of relaxation, when they reveal a silent and authentic beauty. Observing them while they sleep, gracefully stretch, or curl up in a quiet corner conveys a calm that invites us to slow down. These moments, often accompanied by a soft noise or a deep breath, demonstrate their ability to live fully in the present. With my art, I aim to capture and share this serenity, offering the viewer a visual refuge and a profound connection with feline nature. I chose these subjects because they allow me to focus on technique and color, aspects central to my artistic research. Their soothing presence and the ease with which I can observe them give me the freedom to experiment. Each work arises from the desire to combine different techniques to explore new expressive possibilities. No painting is identical: each subject is constructed following an approach that varies based on what I want to convey. The viewer is immediately drawn to the recognisable and captivating figure of the cat, which recalls common experiences, images seen online or experienced in everyday life, thus generating a sense of familiarity, calm and emotional involvement.
