Masks

This project portrays the carnival mask as a symbol of the identities we hide every day. I recount the many facets behind these masks, inspired by the need to reveal what mine hides. The use of different techniques and materials emphasizes the complexity of what lies behind the last mask we show. My works reveal what really lies beneath the surface, drawing the viewer in with symbols engraved on our faces. It is a journey into the soul, a way of both showing and hiding our deepest past.
